1975-76 NBA Week 5

The NBA season contnues tonight with week 5.


New Orelans 103 New York 105
The tightest game of the week was at the Garden, where the Knicks withstood a late Jazz comeback and held on to the win. Earl Monroe led the Knicks with 29 points and Spencer Haywood added a double-double.


Golden State 100 Milwaukee 105
In a surprise at the Mecca, the Bucks knocked off the favored Warriors. Bob Dandridge had 20 poitns and 12 boards to lead th Bucks and Brian Winters added 19 points.


Chicago 107 Seattle 101
The Bulls won a tight battle this week over the SuperSonics. Mickey Johnson had 20 poins and 19 rebounds to lead Chicago. Bob Love also scored 21 points for the Bulls.


Cleveland 98 Boston 108
The demending champion Celtics finally got their first win of the year versus a tough Cavalier team. Dave Cowens had 23 points and 23 rebounds, while JoJo White scored 24 poitns and added 11 assists.


Los Angeles 110 Detroit 116
At Richfield, won a toug hgame aginst the Lakers. Bob Lanier scored 20 points an had 15 baords to lead the Pistons. Curtis Rowe had a double double with 13 poitns and 12 rebounds.


Buffalo 116 Washington 103
The Braves continue their incredible start as they go to 5-0 with a win over the Bullets. Bob McAdoo again led Buffalo with 34 points and Jim McMillan added 23 for the undefeated Braves.


Kansas City 104 Atlanta 121
The Hawks went to 3-2 with a win over the Kings at the Omni. John Drew had 33 points to lead Atlanta and Dwight Jones had a double-double. The Kings fell to 2-3 on the year.


Portland 109 Phoenix 130
In the desert, The Suns blewout the Trailblazers. Phoenix gt a 27 point day from Paul Westphal and another 24 from Keith Erickson. Garfield Heard has a double-double for the Suns as well.


Philadelphia 96 Houston 119
It was a blowout at the Summit as the Rockets dominated the Sixers. Kebin Kunnert scored 26 points and had 11 boards for Houston. Rudy Tomjanovich also had a double-double for the Rockets.
